In the fall of 2019 I had the pleasure of working with Emily and Connor to document their autumn Balls Falls engagement. They were supposed to be married this August but sadly since the pandemic, they have had to move their wedding to 2021. As a Niagara Wedding Photographer, I thought I would celebrate them by blogging about there incredible engagement session.
Before each engagement session, my clients get emails from me with ways that they can prepare and tips to ensure their shoots success. Emily and Connor checked off every item on my list by showing up super prepared!
They brought their fur baby Sophie who I was so excited to meet! As a dog mom myself, I’m totally down for clients to include their fur kids during our sessions! I do ask my clients bringing their fur kids to bring a close family member or friend to the session. It’s best to start with the doggos photos first and then let them go home with a family member. In my experience, puppers tend to get upset when they aren’t in the photo and it becomes a distraction for all.
Not only did they show up prepared for their Balls Falls engagement session with wardrobe options, they also brought champaign and Beachwood Doughnuts! This made for some incredibly cute and fun photos later on in the session. Also if you’ve ever had Beachwood Doughnuts, you know they are THE BEST on the planet!
While Emily and Connor were nervous about their autumn Engagement session at Balls Falls, they absolutely nailed it. I couldn’t stop smiling and squealing during their session. Every angle was perfection, they were total naturals and that golden hour light was bang on! This is the type of shoot the lights my soul on fire!
As a Niagara Wedding Photographer, Balls Falls Conservation Area is a location where I document many of my engagement sessions. Couples love it because it has so many great options between waterfalls, bridges, magical forests, and barns. It really is an incredible all in one location. Even though I shoot there, a lot, every session turns out unique and equally beautiful. No matter the season this place really is perfect for photography.
