Usually, once a year I get the great opportunity to travel to document a love story! It’s one of the things that I love most about my job! When my cousin Nick announced that he was getting married at the Pine and Pond wedding venue in Ponoka Alberta, I was over the moon for him and Kim.
When he asked me, at first, I said I didn’t want to do it. Working with family is not always a great decision but after giving it some thought and knowing I would be going anyways, I decided to say yes! When I checked out their wedding venue, The Pine and Pond, I was even more excited!
They had to most Pinterest worthy cottages to get ready in, both his and hers. A magical outdoor wedding ceremony surrounded by a picture-perfect pond with a fountain. Their ceremony was in a gorgeous transparent ceiling tent, lit up with mini-lights. It was the perfect fairy-tale location to share their special day with all of there family and friends. The reception gave us the feeling of being outdoors while still remaining comfortable as the sun began to set. They also lit a fire outside for guests to enjoy. This property is just incredibly stunning and has so much to offer.
Nick and Kim’s wedding day at the Pine and Pond in Alberta was everything I imagined and more. It was laid back, relaxed and all-around fun. It brought me so much joy to be able to help them out during the day with my decades of experience in weddings while documenting all of the fun and precious moments.
I was even happier when Nick and Kim and the family got their albums and they reported back at how much they loved all the photos. I meant the world to me being able to document this day for my beloved cousin and his beautiful bride. They are one of the sweetest and most genuine couples that I have the pleasure of knowing. They warned me that they would be awkward in front of the camera but like every couple who “warns” me, they were flawless!
I hope to one day return to document another epic wedding at The Pine and Pond in Ponoka Alberta!
