I was truly honored to be asked by Suzanne and Alex to photograph their wedding at Cave Springs and Inn-on-the-Twenty. Not only was I excited to capture their crafty, rustic-contemporary wedding but also because we have some history. I first met Suzanne in 2013 when I captured the special moments of her best friend Carli’s wedding. Suzanne and I met again in 2015 when she was a bridesmaid in another beautiful wedding that I captured for her friend Meg. In 2016 Suzanne herself got engaged and said she only wanted to work with me and I was thrilled! Her an Alex are longtime sweethearts, being the one to capture this incredible time in their lives meant the world to me.
Carli, my previous bride, was now the maid-of-honor for Suzanne’s wedding. During the getting ready shots, she said something that made my heart almost burst. The pink pearl bracelets that I gave her from my own wrist on her wedding day were now Suzanne’s “Something Borrowed”. Full Circle. These are the types of experiences that I enjoy with my clients, being a part of their lives and building strong relationships.
The decor for Suzanne and Alex’s wedding was mostly DIY by Suzanne who has a true gift for making rustic pieces. Well complimented by the stunning and elegant floral arrangements by My Motif. The food, service, and style of the gorgeous banquet facility at Inn-on-the-Twenty was nothing short of elegant and perfection. The day of wedding coordinators did a fantastic job of working with me to make sure that our timelines were on point.
