This Niagara Falls epic engagement session was one of my most favorites. Sarah found me through The Knot, she and Devan are from Michigan and were looking to celebrate their engagement in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where Devan proposed to her the year before.
OMG how romantic right?
Well, he actually proposed on the American side of the falls, however, Devan is currently residing here in Ontario, Canada, since he had taken a job at the Ford Plant in Mississauga. So it worked out that we could arrange to do their Niagara Falls epic engagement session on the Canadian side during one of Sarah’s visits.
Since she was coming in from out of town, she wanted to go all out with hair & makeup so I hired the amazing Jen from Simply Stunning. She did an incredible job giving Sarah a super romantic braid and soft beautiful makeup to complete the look.
Sarah and I spent some time in the months leading up to their August session planning out the locations and their wardrobe. She wore the same gorgeous white dress from her bridal shower and Devon looked so handsome in a blue dress shirt with a tie. On top of that, their casual outfits were hella cute too.
They absolutely LOVED their engagement photos and we both wish we would have met the year before because their wedding was next month and they had already booked their wedding photographer.
Either way, it was a super fun evening and we got so many incredible images from the session! Sarah mentioned to me that she has a bit of the photography bug and wants to learn more and develop her craft. Turns out, I had just posted my older model DSLR kit for sale. She ended up actually buying it and she’s doing a great job so far developing her craft. We have been keeping in touch since the session, they really are just the sweetest couple and I love how we are all now friends.
