Now that I have all of this extra time on my hands I am finally getting around to Blogging again. It’s also like a form of therapy for me right now as I’m seriously missing photographing love stories. I wanted to start with one of my favorite weddings from 2019. Michelle and Sam’s wedding at Inn on the Twenty and Cave Springs Winery.
This was my third time documenting an Inn on the Twenty and Cave Springs wedding. Jordan Station in itself is incredibly picturesque, I highly recommend visiting this little town. It’s absolutely one of my fave venues. They do such an incredible job. It’s been exciting watching them grow over the years with the addition of two more spaces to host your wedding.
The Inn itself makes for a perfect spot to do the getting ready shots of both the guys and the girls. Every time I have gone, it’s been in different rooms, each one is unique and equally stunning.
Inn on the Twenty wedding venue has four stunning locations that they offer for your ceremony and reception. I’ve only had the pleasure of working two out of the four locations since the other two spaces are relatively new. To learn more about their wedding venue, head to Inn on the Twenty’s website, https://innonthetwenty.com/weddings/.
Michelle and Sam didn’t need an engagement session and booked me over email so there wedding day was the first time we actually got to meet. They were incredibly sweet. My assistant and I were both taken aback by how much Sam looked exactly like Bradley Cooper in the movie a Star is Born! So much so that all day I kept calling him Bradley! Oiy!
The day itself was pretty perfect, other than the blazing hot sun and a 30 minute time delay before the ceremony. Their officiant was very late as he was stuck in traffic coming from Toronto. This did post some challenges in getting all the photos we wanted after the ceremony but we made it work. They only had one person each in their wedding party so I was able to have ample time with them for portraits.
Doing portraits on a time crunch with a blazing hot sun and a groom in a three-piece suit, we didn’t spend too much time taking photos in the picturesque wedding venue vineyards of Cave Springs. After grabbing a few sweet moments we headed to new the Inn on the Twenty barn down the road.
The barn provided some excellent shade and a lovely backdrop for Michelle and Sam’s portraits. Oh and did I mention the car? They had recently inherited a very sexy, black, classic convertible that they used to drive around in. Check out how cute these photos turned out below!
If you want to check out another wedding that I did at Inn on the Twenty check out my bog of Suzanne and Alex’s wedding. It was a wedding I did three years ago so my style has changed a bit since then.
As I get back into blogging I’ll have more great weddings to showcase from 2019.
