Queens Landing Hotel | Niagara-on-the-Lake Wedding

In 2019 I had the complete honour of documenting a fairytale wedding at the Queens Landing Hotel & Spa in the picturesque Niagara-on-the-lake.

Queen’s Landing was built in the 90’s. It’s architecture reflects that of the Georgian Era. Therefore, giving it a very royal and regal essence. It actually is a style born during the reigns of the British monarchs. It is situated on the Old Niagara Harbour and Dock Company that was incorporated in 1831.

Now owned and operated by Vintage Hotels, the exterior of the building fashions Venetian windows. Adorned with marble flooring, a sweeping staircase, murals, and brilliant stained glass ceilings. It really is incredibly stunning.

The theme was Happily Ever After. Therefore, you can see why they chose the Queens Landing Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The details incorporated were incredible, from her blue glass slippers to the tables being named after fairytale cities. The Ballroom at Queens Landing elegantly decked out with tall golden candelabra. I also loved the stunning chandeliers throughout. You could definitely feel the romance and history just by standing in this incredible venue.

Alex and Darren really wanted to do the first look and portraits ahead of time. That way they could enjoy a Horse and Carriage ride around the historic Niagara-on-the-Lake post-ceremony. They even have a horse named Cinderella that Alex was able to get! So cute am I right!?

Portraits at McFarland Tea House

For bridal portraits we all jumped into a limo bus and headed out onto the Niagara Parkway. We did the family and some of the Bridal portraits at McFarland Tea House. Another beautiful historic building in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The ceremony at Grace United Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake was equally elegant. Another beautiful choice location. I absolutely love the giant turquoise door at the main entrance. This means, we had to get some shots of Alex and her gown in front of it! All in all it was a perfect day filled with all the love and joy you could imagine for a fairytale wedding.

Some of my fave photos from the day were during Golden Hour! I took Alex and Darren in and around the property. We even re-created the famous Harry and Megan pose! I’m so excited for you to see these beautiful images.
